FTH was not built in a boardroom. It was built between card shows, late-night breaks, and one too many “just one more pack” moments.

Every feature exists because a real collector needed it and nothing else had it. Show Mode came from carrying a card case to shows and imposing on another seller's table space. Magic Scan came from cataloging thousands of cards by hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is FTH really free?

Yes. The free download includes unlimited card storage, Magic Scan, per-card profit and loss, a 25-card Show Mode preview, CSV import/export, iCloud sync, and more. There is no cap on how many cards you can add. The free plan has no catch: collectors who just want to catalog and track their collection can do so without ever paying. FTH Pro unlocks dashboard values and charts, full Show Mode with Mark as Sold at the table, unlimited market price lookups, unlimited batch scanning, advanced analytics, and sales reports. Pricing starts from $3.99/month or $29.99/year. There are no ads anywhere in the app, and there is no trial that expires.

What sports are supported?

11 sports: baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, golf, tennis, boxing, MMA, wrestling, and racing. Trading card games (TCG) and Other are categories too, so TCG cards can be cataloged now; scanning tuned for TCG cards is on the roadmap.

Does Magic Scan work offline?

Yes. The scanner runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Photograph the front and back of a card and it extracts the player, year, brand, set, and card number. Standard mode requires no internet and processes entirely on-device. Optional Cloud-Enhanced mode sends photos securely for improved accuracy. The app also supports barcode scanning for graded slabs. Scan a PSA slab's barcode and the app retrieves cert details automatically (internet required for cert lookup).

Is my collection data private?

Your collection data is stored locally using Core Data and syncs to your personal iCloud via Apple CloudKit. There are zero ad frameworks in the app. The app uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused analytics: anonymous usage signals and a double-hashed device identifier that cannot be reversed, with no IDFA or IDFV, and no names or emails. Certain features like market price lookups and cert lookups send only card details to third-party services. No personal information is ever transmitted. You can lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID and export everything to CSV at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I import from a spreadsheet?

Yes. CSV import lets you bring cards from spreadsheets or other apps. The Column Mapping Wizard lets you match your spreadsheet columns to FTH fields during import, so your data maps correctly regardless of format. You can also export your entire collection to CSV at any time. See what FTH adds over a spreadsheet.

What is FTH Pro and what does it cost?

FTH Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks advanced features including dashboard values and charts, full Show Mode with Mark as Sold, unlimited market price lookups, unlimited batch scanning, advanced analytics, sales reports, and more. Pricing starts from $3.99/month or $29.99/year. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. You can try the free version with no time limit. There is no trial that expires.

Can I scan graded slabs?

Yes. When you scan a PSA slab, the app detects the barcode and automatically looks up the cert number to retrieve the grade, card description, and year. This saves you from manually entering grading details. Currently PSA is supported via their official API. BGS, CGC, and SGC do not offer public APIs at this time.

Can I find card shows near me?

Yes. The Discover tab includes a card show finder that lists upcoming shows with dates, locations, and details. If you allow location access, shows are sorted by distance so you can see what is closest (within 50 miles on the free plan, nationwide with Pro). You can also browse by state or date without sharing your location.

Can I track what I want to buy?

Yes. The Wishlist feature lets you save cards you are looking for. Add cards to your wishlist with details like target price and check them off as you find them. It is a great tool for set builders and collectors hunting specific cards at shows.

Do I need to create an account?

FTH uses Sign In with Apple, so you can get started with one tap. No passwords to remember and no email forms to fill out. Apple handles authentication and lets you choose whether to share or hide your email address.
